Leap Motion Controller

Leap Motion Controller is a bridge between you and the Virtual Reality. It is smaller than expected, which is of the size of a two-finger kitkat, that sits in front of your PC or Mac tracking up every hand and finger movement. It sucks up very little power from the your computer. It is a small USB device which is just 3 inches long which a glossy black panel on the top, behind which lies the infrared sensors. At the  bottom, you will find a black rubber panel embossed with the leap motion logo. The device uses USB 3.0 Micro-B port on the left side and there is also a slim LED power indicator on the front edge as well.

Keep in mind that Leap is different from a Kinect Sensor Bar. It is not just size and appearance, Leap uses infrared optics and cameras instead of depth sensors, it does not cover as large as an area as Microsoft Gestured controller. It can just track all of the 10 of your fingers simultaneously with a lower latency.

For many people who are still wondering what you can do with the Leap Motion Controller is so far a lot, but not that useful. The Controller is compatible with both PC's and MAC's, but it mostly works up with the software from the Airspace Store, which are specifically designed to work with the Controller. Most of the apps like Google Maps and games like Cut the rope have been Leap-enabled and many educational apps are also available in Airspace Store.

You can visit the store by just clicking Here.

No matter how cool it is, I don't think it would replace up keyboard and mouse. It is a fun experience rather than an essential tool.
